He never turns around. He already knows there is a sea back there. Why look.
The sailboat sets sail every morning. He hears it. Back by dinner. Disciplined.
They put him here to remind people of distant lands. He reminds them. Silently.
Sometimes he steps out for a while, but he always comes back to the same spot. Where he goes, and what he has seen, he does not say.
